Year-End Accountant (Contract)

Location: Onsite - Apache Junction, AZ
Duration: Full-time, Jan 5, 2026 for 2-4 weeks
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9 AM-5 PM

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Year-End Accountant to assist with payroll reconciliation and reporting for a large workforce during year-end close. This is a hands-on role focused on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process W-2s for 300-400 employees.
• Verify employee tax data and reconcile payroll tax totals.
• Ensure quarterly filings (941/944) match annual totals.
• Handle year-end adjustments (fringe benefits, bonuses, GTL, etc.).
• Prepare and submit W-3 to SSA; support state filings.

Must-Haves

• QuickBooks proficiency.
• Experience creating W-2 and W-3 forms.
• Ability to work onsite in Apache Junction, AZ.

Nice-to-Have: Experience with large construction payroll.
