Title: Workday Time Tracking Lead
Location: Remote (monthly travel)

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Workday Time Tracking Lead. The Workday Time Tracking Lead drives strategy, design, configuration, and delivery of Workday Time Tracking across IT operations and business teams. The role partners with Payroll, Finance, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) stakeholders to optimize time entry workflows, compliance rules, and data integrity, aligning integrations with Human Capital Management (HCM) and payroll systems. Success is measured by on-time implementations, accurate and compliant time capture, and measurable adoption of standardized processes and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Workday Time Tracking projects including strategy, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare
- Architect and optimize time entry workflows, calculation and compliance rules, scheduling, and data integrity across Workday applications
- Oversee day-to-day ERP advisory workstreams spanning process design, configuration, lifecycle support, and project reviews for diverse clients
- Govern engagement financials and cost management in alignment with organizational policies while maintaining delivery quality and client satisfaction
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT operations, and business leaders to align time tracking with regulatory and organizational requirements
- Coordinate integration activities with payroll and related systems, define interface requirements, and drive end-to-end testing and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain clear, publication-quality design documents, configuration workbooks, SOPs, and end-user training materials
- Mentor client teams and junior consultants on Workday Time Tracking leading practices and change adoption
Skills Required
- Workday Time Tracking configuration expertise across time entry, approvals, calculation/compliance rules, scheduling, and audits
- Strong understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and HCM (Human Capital Management) concepts and module interactions
- Experience integrating time data with payroll and downstream systems, including interface design, reconciliation, and defect triage
- Knowledge of data integrity, controls, and compliance frameworks relevant to time capture and pay impact
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable designs, configuration, and testable acceptance criteria
- Proficiency in project delivery disciplines including planning, risk and issue management, cutover, and hypercare
- Facilitation skills to lead client workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder decision forums
- Test planning and execution experience spanning unit, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Advanced documentation ability with customer-ready deliverables such as design specs, runbooks, and training guides
- Workday certifications: Time Tracking required; Integration certification beneficial
Education & Work Experience
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in ERP/HCM implementations including upgrades and time tracking solutions
- Completion of at least one full-cycle Workday Time Tracking implementation
- Workday Time Tracking certification (required)
