Title: Workday Talent Architect
Location: Remote (possible travel)

Compensation: $70 - $95 /hr. (contract - minimum 20/hrs. a wk.)
We have partnered with our client in their search for a Workday Talent Architect. The Workday Talent Architect leads end-to-end delivery and optimization of Workday Talent Management across talent acquisition (Recruiting), performance, succession, and career development. The role partners with HR leadership, IT, and cross-functional business stakeholders to align solutions with broader HCM (Human Capital Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) strategies. Success is measured by on-time, on-budget delivery, strong process adoption, audit-ready data integrity and security, and high stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Workday Talent Management implementations and optimization programs
- Translate HR strategy into scalable solution architectures across Recruiting, Performance, Succession, and Career Development
- Design and govern business processes, security, and configurations; review and approve build across environments
- Drive project planning, financials, and risk/issue management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with HR, IT, and business leads to align Talent processes with HCM/ERP strategy
- Oversee testing strategy including system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, and hypercare with a focus on data integrity and security
- Develop adoption plans, training, and change management with measurable KPIs
- Mentor consultants, conduct design and quality reviews, and contribute reusable assets and leading practices
Skills Required
- Deep expertise configuring Workday Talent modules: Recruiting, Performance, Succession, and Career Development
- Proficiency in Workday business process configuration, condition rules, calculated fields, and reporting
- Strong command of the Workday security model including security groups, domain and business process policies, and audit controls
- Experience integrating Talent processes with core HCM and related areas such as compensation and learning
- Ability to lead test strategy and execution, including test scripts, defect triage, and UAT readiness
- Demonstrated excellence in documentation and communication, including design documents, configuration workbooks, and executive readouts
- Program and project management skills across Agile and Waterfall methods, including RAID management and status reporting
- Data governance and data quality validation experience for Talent data, including migration planning and reconciliation
- Experience managing engagement financials such as budgets, forecasts, and burn rates, with adherence to firm policies
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team-building across client and consulting teams
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university preferred or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in HCM ERP systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP HCM) including leadership roles
- 4+ years of hands-on experience leading Workday Talent implementations
- Active Workday Talent or Workday HCM certification
