Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Configuration Consultant with a strong focus on Compensation to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Compensation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday Compensation, a solid understanding of compensation structures and compliance, and a proven track record of delivering successful implementations or major enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration and deployment of Workday Compensation modules, including base pay, merit, bonus, and advanced compensation plans.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable and compliant Workday configurations.
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend system or process improvements to enhance compensation operations.
  • Configure and maintain compensation templates, eligibility rules, guidelines, and security roles.
  • Act as the functional lead on Workday Compensation projects, including integrations with payroll and other HR systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and external consultants to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical Workday team.
  • Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and communicate configuration decisions and their implications.
  • Train and support HR and Compensation teams on Workday Compensation tools and best practices.
  • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or modified configurations.
  • Validate data accuracy and system functionality post-implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday Compensation-related issues.
  • Monitor Workday releases and assess their impact on current configurations and business processes.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits, validation routines, and proactive maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR systems, with at least 3 years focused on Workday Compensation.
  • Proven experience leading Workday Compensation implementations or major enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of compensation structures, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Workday Pro or Partner Certification in Compensation (preferred but not required).
