The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing duties of all warehouse personnel that fill orders, ship and receive products into inventory. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising warehouse systems, training, safety, and compliance programs to ensure high quality performance of employees and accurate inventory to make low cost, prompt, timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize systems to maintain accurate inventory
- Schedule and direct duties of package/bulk warehouse associates effectively to achieve a high output low cost warehouse operation
- Utilize system and metrics in regards of product volumes to organize tanks and bin locations to ensure efficient product flow for both inbound and outbound materials
- Set performance metrics and goals for associates
- HAZMAT knowledge in regards to labeling, packing slips, etc.
- Acquire all required licenses, permits, etc. in required time frames
- Lead Safety Committee and perform safety equipment inspections including but not limited to: fire extinguishers, emergency lights, security system, eye wash stations. Knowledge of fire suppression system
- Resolve billing issues in the system and develop reports to correct and prevent future errors
- Evaluate employee performance and coach employees to meet standards set by position and coach them to find next line of leaders
- Communicate warehouse/facilities need for repair and maintenance, approve the expenses and forward to operations manager
- Manage overtime of warehouse staff through evaluation of staffing needs through performance measurements and metrics
- Conduct facility inspection for both inside and outside of the facility and document results on tracking log
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings for communications, training, development, and motivation of associates
- Attend operational meetings as required
- Fill in for associates in their absence
