Perform functions to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in receiving, stocking, order filling and maintaining stock records of company’s metal fabricated products in warehouse.
Under occasional supervision responsible for warehouse space planning, material arrangement, and first in first out filling of orders. Maintain constant check of physical inventory versus book records. See that stock reflects proper identification for customers’ requirements. Plan order expediting with sales and sales service personnel. Schedule order picking, packing and preparations for shipment. Assign jobs according to capabilities of workers. Train employees; recommend transfers, promotions and increases. Responsible for discipline, proper reporting of counts and time by workers, good employee relations, and resolution of primary grievances within department. Explain and enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations.
