As the Vice President, Polymer Products you will be responsible for the P&L, support business development activities of our successful product line, and position it for growth.  You have an opportunity to join a well-established and reputable organization that has been the leader in the industry for over 30 years.

In working closely with Sales & Marketing and Engineers, you will lead in maintaining the dominance in the market while executing your strategy that will continue our growth and profitability over the next 5 years.  You will lead the team to achieve this dominance by growing our product offering in current markets and new markets.

Some responsibilities:

Responsible for defining and implementing product strategies and business development plans to achieve our long term objectives. This includes supporting: a well-established product offering; large global customer base; development of plans for new product; R&D plans; market analysis; financial planning; and leading the sales and marketing activities.

Specific responsibilities in collaboration with the product manager include:

  • Understand product market, customers and needs
  • Develop and lead marketing activities such as material development, trade shows and promotion campaign
  • Establish and execute business development strategies and coordinate all activities to achieve business unit financial objectives
  • Technical support to internal and external sales
  • Deal with pricing, forecast, and margins
  • Presentations to customers
  • Qualify business opportunities

 

Requirements:

The Vice-President, Polymer Products is expected to bring proven leadership success preferably at Business Unit, or at a General Manager level with strong experience dealing with customers and suppliers.

Ideally we are looking for a leader coming from: moderate volume manufacturing of a highly engineered aerospace or med device product.  Product will be chemical/polymer based for OEM and aftermarket products.

Must have:

  • BS in engineering, chemistry, Physics
  • Technical expertise in the field of material sciences that are applied in the military or medical device industry.
  • 12+ years of experience ideally advancing from engineering, program management, business development.
  • Interaction with customers and direct leadership
  • Operate in a highly multiplexed environment with high level of uncertainty
  • Proven success in applying technological innovation, creative and able to develop a vision
  • Patient with the ability to management complex situation and manage making decision in an information scarce environment
