Lucas Group is working on a confidential search in the Houston, Texas area. We are seeking a VP of Operations from the oil field operations space. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the senior leadership team for my client.

Responsibilities
• Ensure high quality and safe end-to-end project engineering, planning and delivery; contributing sector-specific experience where relevant
• Source, negotiate, and on-board vendors and suppliers
• Recruit critical consultants and advisers to fill in knowledge / experience gaps
• Facilitate robust project planning and problem-solving among internal and external technical team members
• Develop and own the high-level product roadmap to inform project execution and R&D planning
• Be intimately involved in corporate planning activities, such as budgeting and market entry planning
• Represent company towards parties including authorities, grid operators, investors, etc.
• Ensure lean and effective scaling of the operations organization
Qualification
• 10+ years of experience managing teams, with a preference for start-up experience
• 10+ years in oilfield project management and operations, with a preference for E&P experience
• Very experienced in contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
• University degree
