Title: VP of Human Resources

Location: Northern Virginia

Role Overview: Lucas Group has partnered with a global retailer on the search for a VP of Human Resources to be based in Northern Virginia. The VP of HR will take the lead on all People related matters and initiatives across their North America operation. The VP will lead efforts in recruiting, training and development, employee relations and engagement, and retention. This individual is accountable for the full range of Human Resources functions and is critical to the establishment and enhancement of the company values and culture.

• Advise on and, in conjunction with the line, design and implement an effective Organization structure for North America
• Proactively plan for and maintain a positive employee relations climate including setting up an Employee Council or other appropriate employee representation mechanism
• Working with specialist teams in the UK, design and implement appropriate salary, benefits and incentives schemes, learning and development activities and Internal communications.
• Review all HR policies and propose any amendments or additions needed for North America.
• Lead the creation and delivery of a strategy to attract and recruit the teams we need to deliver for our customer in the US.
• Research and develop an inspiring Employer Brand
• Create and deliver onboarding materials for new employees
• Develop and deliver Engagement plans in order to motivate and retain our employees
• Conduct Talent Reviews and create development plans for those with the potential to grow into bigger roles.
• Maintain a high standard of people data and reporting both externally and internally
