The Lucas Group is searching for a talented, experienced and enthusiastic Vice President of Clinical Operations to add as a key member of our client’s team in New York City. Our client is a market leader in providing technology-enabled behavioral health care.
The Vice President of Clinical Operations is an individual responsible for the management of all clinical operations for the entire company. Working within the federal, state, and regional regulations covering behavioral health the Vice President of Clinical Operations works innovatively to meet the needs of our client’s exceptional patients while fulfilling the Company mission of future growth. Partnering closely with senior leadership, the Vice President of Clinical Operations establishes and participates in clinical program development and implementation. Clinical team members report up through the Vice President of Clinical Operations who oversees hiring, discipline, training, and all clinical related items.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates formally and informally (in person or phone) with corporate representatives and the Clinical teams to discuss/implement clinical procedures and troubleshoot issues/concerns
- Conducts day-to-day personnel management to include all components of performance management
- Enforces and demonstrates compliance with all State and Federal Regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and Company policies and procedures
- Organizes & conducts Clinical leadership and staff meetings
- Collaborates with Clinical team leads and Corporate Recruiting in order to build clinical teams
- Provide guidance for all Clinical team staff as needed
- Monitor caseloads
- Mentor leadership staff
- Routinely mines for service failures and intervenes as necessary
- Participates in community events
- Achieves clinical and operating metrics as provided by the executive team
- Reviews weekly/monthly clinical performance reports to assure clinical expectations are being achieved
- Routinely makes presentations regarding clinical topics and key performance indicators including appropriate plans to address negative variances
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS in Nursing is required. Master’s degree is desired
- 10+ years’ experience is required, with 5+ years experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 7 years; in a clinical or behavioral care setting
- 5+ years management experience required
- Direct clinical experience or healthcare industry experience is preferred
- Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR accredited by American Heart Association and American Red Cross or any other accredited sources
