The Lucas Group is searching for an experienced, talented, and analytical VP Industry Marketing Strategy to add as a key member of our client’s team in either Atlanta. Our client is a leading provider of facility solutions in urban, suburban and rural areas to properties of all sizes - from schools and commercial buildings to hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants and airports throughout the US as well as internationally.
In this role, the VP Industry Marketing Strategy will be focused on the challenges that our client’s customers face in keeping their buildings operating at peak efficiency, expertly managing their operating costs, and delivering exceptional experiences for their customers. The VP Industry Marketing Strategy will provide strategic and tactical direction to the industry segment marketing team and oversee the development of the marketing strategy goals and objectives for priority segments, facilitating the collaboration, planning and action in the accomplishment of these goals. The VP Industry Marketing Strategy will ensure the maximum revenue and profit growth for the segments by ensuring the effectiveness and ROI of marketing strategies.
The VP Industry Marketing Strategy will work closely with leadership and across a cross-functional marketing team, always thinking about new ways we can increase awareness, generate demand, accelerate pipeline, and grow sales within the Industry segments and to their buyers.
A strategic and creative thinker who thrives in leading teams through assessing client and market insights, the VP Industry Marketing Strategy will drive an integrated content approach across all marketing and sales channels, with input from key stakeholders across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee the development and execution of the Industry Group marketing strategy and planning to address business objectives, the challenges of targeted segments; including market segmentation, targeting of high value buyer personas in collaboration with Sales
- Ensure clarity of value proposition and positioning of segment solutions to clients, prospects, and sales teams with VOC inputs
- Drive content strategy and collaboration through market research and customer insights to increase engagement across all marketing channels and to support the selling for the [Industry Group(s)]
- Monitor marketing performance KPIs across all industry segments and perform ongoing analysis of campaign and content metrics for various outputs to internal audiences at all organizational levels
- Drive development of the go-to-market strategy and execution planning process for the Industry Groups that is aligned with Sales and growth targets with input from key stakeholders
- Standardize approaches and methodology for buyer research, persona development and marketing planning for marketing effectiveness
- Provide strategic view into clients, client purchasing behaviors, and define the client purchasing journey along with the key decision-makers and influencers
- Facilitate client engagement programs to capture the VOC for continuous improvement and to identify new growth opportunities
- Oversee market research and trends findings to determine industry insights that align to service offerings with actionable tools to aide in marketing and sales efforts
- Translate technical and service line specific capabilities into benefits that are understood by [Industry Group] services buyers
- Develop new creative ideas/concepts that will drive new sales growth opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams
- Identify geographic target markets, strategic partners, influential consultants, industry associations, key publications and media, trade conferences & events, speaking opportunities, etc.
- Monitor industry and competitor news and perform ongoing competitive analysis to identify segments being filled, underserved segments, risks, where competitors are investing and key differentiators
- Analyze and report on marketing KPI’s and engagement metrics that will measure the success of Industry Group marketing strategies working with Marketing & Sales COEs
- Develop executive level presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Manage and direct brand integrations and marketing support for acquisitions into the Industry Groups

- Ability to improve marketing ROI and directly impact revenue growth.

REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS in Marketing or Business, or related field required. MBA a plus.
- 15+ years of Marketing, Consulting and/or Business Development experience is required
- 7+ years of strategic planning and/or marketing plan development experience is required
- Experience in related Industries segment a plus
- Business acumen, strategic planning, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities and outstanding communication skills
- Strong collaboration & negotiation skills, showing ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across the organization to achieve agreed upon business outcomes
- Ability to build and closely manage a diverse team of marketers that can operate successfully across functions and departments.
- Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
- Experience creating compelling messages for different target demographics.
- Outstanding project and budget management skills and the proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel
- Ability to drive decision making across projects – and beyond – if needed
- A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly with a personal style that is viewed as open-minded and collaborative
