We have been engaged by a $200M healthcare services company looking to bring on a VP of Business Development to build a pipeline of business development opportunities, and spearhead acquisitions and other growth initiatives to support the company's rapid growth. This is a newly created role to support the M&A activity of the southeast. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare transactional experience with practice and facilities acquisitions and developing partnerships with physician groups and health systems.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prioritizing business development opportunities and present them to the Chief Business Development Officer and other senior executives with the scope of the company's strategic and operational goals.
  • Spearheading all facets of practice and facilities acquisitions, joint ventures, hospital partnerships, clinically integrated networks and other value-based care partnerships, including leading negotiations, managing and participating in operational and financial due diligence and working with counsel, the executive team to bring transactions to closure.
  • Assist with post-acquisition integration as necessary.
  • Work with the finance team, lenders, and private equity partners to coordinate financing for transactions.
  • Perform other business development activities and analyses as directed by the Chief Business Development Officer.

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong M&A experience negotiating and structuring complex transactions.
  • Experience with HIPPA, Stark, AKS, and other health care regulations
  • Strong background building partnerships with physicians and health systems
  • Strong financial modeling skills
