The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role in the this organization's future growth strategy. The current operations have been in place for 28 years and, as part of a broader Business Group initiative, the company is re-evaluating its current business strategy to define new growth opportunities in North America. In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will have:
- High performance leadership experience, developing and implementing results based performance culture, excellent coaching and mentoring skills, hands-on leadership, high visibility on the factory floor, and 100% accountability at all levels of the organization.
- Strong track record of continuous improvement and operational excellence. We are looking for a candidate who can define our factory of the future to drive long-term, sustainable competitive advantage and help us write the next chapter in our company history.
- Experience and expertise in planning complex operations and “reigning in the chaos”. The organization is a high-mix/low-volume manufacturing operation producing engineered products for customers through both stocking programs as well as direct orders. Improving the production planning and scheduling capabilities of the organization is a top priority; balancing lead time, on time delivery, and inventory/cash flow requirements while achieving revenue and production throughput goals and profit targets with a wide mix of high and low margin products.
- Strategy based change management skills. As the organization develops and implements its future growth strategy, the Vice President of Operations will be required to implement new capabilities by supporting feasibility and business case analysis, planning, and implementing expanded or new manufacturing processes.
- Disciplined management style; sustaining, developing, and implementing well defined processes to ensure effective and efficient manufacturing operations meeting the high quality standards our customers have come to trust.
- Above all, must have a top career goal of being a part of a world class manufacturing organization that “does things right” and creates a high performance organization that wins in the market and people are proud to be a part of.
- If you embrace challenges, truly live a “100% accountability” culture, despise excuses, and want to leave behind a legacy of world class operations while realizing that anything is possible, then this opportunity is right for you.
