Lucas Group is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources for a client of ours in Montgomery County.  This person will have a generalist scope, leading the team’s efforts in employee relations, training and development, recruiting, retention, etc.  This person will need to be both tactical and strategic in their approach to HR, partnering with senior leaders of the company and also leading/developing more junior team members. 

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Experience overseeing employee relations and investigations – need to have managed senior level situations
• Must have experience with recruiting, training, performance management and employee engagement
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including unemployment claims, workers compensation claims, affirmative action
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of employees and leaders
• Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with 3+ in a supervisory role
• Bachelor’s degree required, Masters and certifications strongly preferred
