TRUSTS & ESTATES PARALEGAL – BROOKLYN, NY
Boutique law firm in Brooklyn seeking to hire 2 experienced trust & estate paralegals. Immediate temp to hire opportunity. Firm will consider direct hire for the right candidate.
DUTIES:
- Support the firm’s attorneys with the following areas:
- Trusts (including trusts for minors, special needs trusts and marital trusts)
- Asset Protection (offshore trusts, exemptions)
- Estate Planning and Estate Tax Planning (high net worth individuals, same-sex couples)
- Family Limited Partnerships
- Business Succession Planning
- Responsible for conducting legal research
- Draft various legal documents for estate plans
- Provide support to clients, interact frequently with clients including attending client meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Trust and Estates paralegal
- B.A. / B.S. degree required
- Paralegal Certificate a plus
PAY:
Firm offers an hourly rate of pay of 30 upon temp to hire, with a salary commensurate with experience upon hire. Firm will consider direct hires at a salary range of $65K-80K. Benefits are available immediately.
