The Lucas Group has partnered with our client on the West side of Houston that's seeking a Treasury Consultant. This is a full-time, contract position that is slated to last about 2-3 months.
Job Scope: Our client is currently in the process of an acquisition and need to move the treasury functions from the acquired company in-house.
Primary Responsibilities (Included but Not Limited to):
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate corporate cash management and credit administration, maintaining external communication with financial institutions
- Manage the cash forecast – including monitoring bank balances; aid in the analysis and forecasting of sources and uses of cash; integrate updates into the forecast as received to ensure accurate reporting and liquidity
- Correspond with banks concerning bank account activities, borrowings and payments on the senior credit revolver, interest payments, commitment fees, etc.
- Coordinate with accounting and other groups to process all payments (paper checks, ACH and wire distributions) and prepare documentation for proper recording of payments
- Prepare interest accrual calculations and payment entries, monitor deferred finance costs account, and review prepare monthly amortization entries
- Provide support for all related audit requirements, assist financial reporting group with information necessary to complete rollforward and interest account reconciliations
- Document and review intercompany banking activity; ensuring funds movement aligns with corporate and partnership agreements along with debt facilities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Treasury and Compliance
· Oil and gas industry experience preferred
