Description:

Lucas Group has partnered with a global insurance firm in their search for a Training & Development Specialist. This is a newly created, highly visible role that reports to head of HR and partners with the senior leadership in the DC office. We are looking for an experienced training and development leader that has successfully developed product, customer service, and sales training. This is a true build and a fantastic opportunity!

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven success in development and implementation of: product training, customer service training, and sales training
  • 5+ years of experience in design, development, and delivery of training
  • Insurance industry experience a plus!
  • Strong business acumen and consultative skills

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and facilitate company-wide training curriculum and programs in the areas of sales, customer service, product, technical insurance, and others as required.
  • Provide mentoring/training for new and existing employees as required.
  • Work with members of the leadership team to identify and coordinate company-wide training/cross-training needs as well as develop individualized training plans for team members as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements; provide recommendations regarding revisions to programs and/or procedures and offer innovative solutions to problem solving.
  • Maintain updates to training curriculum including presentations, materials, job aids, testing, communications, and follow-up assessments to ensure they keep pace with changing industry trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate and consult with business partners to recommend performance improvement solutions that align with business needs and strategic business direction.
  • Attend product meetings and keep up to date on industry trends, product enhancements, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
