Compensation: $40 - $50/hr.

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Trade Analyst. The Trade Analyst supports daily operations for separately managed accounts and private funds by reconciling custodian bank records against SimCorp records. This role partners with custodian banks, Senior Associates, Operations Managers, and Core Operations to investigate exceptions, resolve breaks, and support month-end reporting. Success is measured by timely reconciliation completion, accurate exception resolution, clean accounting adjustments, and improved use of SimCorp automation and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, monthly, and ad hoc account reconciliations for separately managed accounts and private funds
  • Investigate and resolve coupon, paydown, transaction, position, and other reconciliation breaks between custodian bank records and SimCorp
  • Prepare month-end reporting and accounting support materials that reconcile custodian bank activity to SimCorp records
  • Partner with custodian banks to improve data flow, issue resolution, and operational communication
  • Leverage SimCorp reconciliation tools to increase automation, improve exception-based reporting, and reduce manual effort
  • Escalate material issues, custodian-related concerns, and workflow improvement opportunities to Senior Associates and the Operations Manager
  • Post routine accounting adjustments accurately in SimCorp for payment and transaction activity
  • Support Core Operations with ad hoc requests, process documentation, associate onboarding, and project work

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of trade operations, trade management, and investment operations processes
  • Working understanding of fixed income products and related cash, coupon, paydown, and transaction activity
  • Proficiency with SimCorp or comparable investment accounting and operations platforms
  • Experience reconciling custodian bank records against internal accounting or portfolio accounting systems
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve reconciliation exceptions within established timelines
  • Understanding of the trade back-office lifecycle, including processing, clearing, settlement, and inventory management
  • Familiarity with banking, asset management, private funds, or separately managed account operations
  • Ability to prepare accurate month-end reconciliation and accounting support materials
  • Clear communication skills for coordinating with custodian banks, operations leaders, and internal teams
  • Ability to support business-as-usual operations while contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in trade operations, investment operations, reconciliation, banking, or asset management operations
  • Experience with SimCorp strongly preferred
  • Fixed income operations experience preferred
