Test Manager / Test Lead

Contract: 9-Month Initial Contract
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager / Test Lead to lead the Test Assurance function on a large-scale transformation programme within the Financial Services sector. You will be responsible for defining the overall testing strategy, providing governance across multiple workstreams, and ensuring high-quality delivery throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall Test Strategy and Assurance Plan
- Lead test planning and approach during the discovery phase
- Develop and maintain integrated test plans
- Manage the end-to-end test lifecycle across multiple workstreams
- Provide governance, reporting and executive-level status updates
- Coordinate testing resources, risks, dependencies and issue resolution
- Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases and defects
- Drive milestone readiness, quality assurance and release sign-off
- Promote continuous improvement across the testing function
Required Experience
- 10+ years' experience in Test Management or Test Leadership roles
- Strong Financial Services background
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes
- Proven executive stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or JIRA
- Expertise in test governance, defect management and reporting
- Experience managing third-party vendors and delivery partners
