Job Title: Teradata Engineer
Location: Dublin (Remote)
Contract: 6-Month Daily Rate Contract
We are working with a leading Financial Services client based in Dublin who is seeking an experienced Teradata Engineer to join their data team on an initial 6-month contract. This role will be fully remote and will support key data warehousing and regulatory reporting initiatives within a banking environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong data professional with proven Teradata and SQL expertise, ideally within financial services or banking.
Design, develop and optimise data solutions within a Teradata environment
Build and maintain scalable data warehouse structures to support business and regulatory reporting
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures and performance tuning solutions
Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support data migration, integration and transformation initiatives
Ensure data quality, governance and compliance standards are met
Contribute to performance optimisation and database tuning activities
Strong hands-on experience with Teradata (essential)
Advanced SQL development skills
Proven experience working within enterprise data warehouse environments
Strong understanding of data modelling concepts (dimensional modelling, star schemas, etc.)
Experience in performance tuning and query optimisation
Strong stakeholder communication skills
Prior experience within Banking or Financial Services
Exposure to regulatory reporting environments
Experience working in agile delivery teams
Initial 6-month contract
Fully remote
