Title: Telecom Engineer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days in-office)

Compensation: $50 - $70/Hr.
We have partnered with our client in their search for a Telecom Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Gather data from physician practices, including hardware, extensions, user accounts, and hours of operation.
- Submit and manage voice recordings, program phone menus, and perform testing/quality assurance with practices.
- Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Avaya’s voice systems; coordinate resolution of related issues.
- Analyze current system configurations and recommend upgrades or changes to improve performance.
- Serve as project manager for telecom-related installs and upgrades.
- Participate in technical training sessions on integrated telephony applications.
- Collaborate with the data analytics team to structure data for dashboards and analytical needs.
- Partner with physician practices and service lines to meet all telecom needs.
- Maintain a central registry of phone mappings and voice recordings for all physician offices.
- Develop educational training materials and conduct training on new functionalities for practices and leadership teams.
- Set up and maintain telecom infrastructure for office staff working remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve telecom issues promptly.
Skills Required
- 5-7 years of experience in telecom engineering, with vendor certifications in Avaya technologies.
- Functional understanding of network protocols, voice technologies, and firewalls.
- Background in TDM and SIP migration on both station and trunk sides.
- Strong understanding of dial plan design and modification in a multi-site, multi-LATA, enterprise environment.
- Experience with Avaya Aura solutions, including Communication Manager, System/Session Manager, and Messaging.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading implementation projects.
- Experience supporting end-users in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-functioning teams and matrixed environments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, communicating with physicians, executives, and both business and technology teams.
