We have partnered with our client in their search for a Technical Writer in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
• Write easy-to-read instructions for end users for the complete set of Access products and services.
• Edit content from others into a consistent voice, tone and style.
• Follow the firm’s content guidelines and contribute improvements to them.
• Collaborate with developers, information architects, designers, project managers, platform owners and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute strategies for improving the help content program.
You should have a good understanding of:
• Instructional content editing/writing
• User experience writing
• Content strategy
• Video scripting
• Application of brand book and style book guidelines
• AP Stylebook
• End-user instructions
• Content management systems and other publishing/help platforms
• B2B financial services content
Skills Required:
• Seven or more years of experience as an instructional content creator
• A portfolio of instructional content examples that demonstrate clarity of style and voice
• Ability to quickly learn banking concepts and understand how products work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience developing content using the WalkMe platform is a plus
