The Technical Product Owner (TPO) for Treasury Management Systems serves as the primary owner of the Kyriba Treasury Management platform, driving the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to align treasury technology capabilities with organizational business objectives. This role bridges the gap between Treasury stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and external vendors to ensure the platform continuously evolves to meet operational needs across multiple business units.

The TPO owns the end-to-end product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, release management, and ongoing optimization. Operating within an Agile delivery framework, this role leads backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment to maximize business value. The ideal candidate combines deep Kyriba functional and technical expertise with strong product ownership, business analysis, and strategic planning skills.

In addition, the Technical Product Owner will occasionally provide hands-on technical solutions through reporting, analytics, and system development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Kyriba Treasury Management modules, including Cash Management, Payments, Risk Management, and related functionalities.
  • Align platform enhancements with business objectives, operational requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, visibility, and automation across treasury operations.

Product Ownership & Backlog Management

  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, technical debt, system stability, and enhancement requests.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define priorities and ensure delivery aligns with organizational goals.

Kyriba Administration & Configuration

  • Manage technical configuration and administration of the Kyriba platform, including user access, security, core data management, and module setup.
  • Oversee system integrations, configurations, and enhancements to support evolving treasury processes.
  • Evaluate new features and releases to determine applicability and business impact.

Agile Delivery Leadership

  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and quality assurance resources to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Review and accept completed work based on defined acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Treasury, IT, Information Security, business users, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, provide regular status updates, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and banking partners on support, upgrades, issue resolution, and platform optimization.

Quality Assurance & Release Management

  • Define and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies, test scenarios, and validation processes.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and compliance expectations.
  • Support deployment planning, release management, and post-production validation activities.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive platform, operational, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure application support materials and release documentation are complete prior to production deployment.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across technical and business teams.

Treasury Operations Support

  • Manage bank statement integrations, including prior-day and intraday reporting processes.
  • Troubleshoot cash reconciliation issues, missing bank statement feeds, and integration failures.
  • Analyze and resolve complex system and operational issues impacting treasury functions.
  • Provide consultative support to internal and external stakeholders with a strong focus on customer service and problem resolution.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Treasury Management Systems, preferably Kyriba.
  • Experience serving as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role within an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash management, payments, bank connectivity, and financial risk management.
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, file-based banking interfaces, and data management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred

  • Kyriba implementation, administration, or certification experience.
  • Experience with treasury technology transformation or optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL, reporting tools, scripting, or application development.
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations, banking protocols, and financial technology ecosystems.
