We have partnered with a leading financial services client who is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner - Platform Engineering to join their DevOps Centre of Excellence and lead the evolution of enterprise Kubernetes and Developer Platform capabilities.

This role is ideal for a senior product leader with deep cloud-native expertise who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, platform engineering, and developer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for Kubernetes and Developer Platform services

  • Deliver secure, multi-tenant, production-ready Kubernetes capabilities

  • Define and prioritise platform backlogs aligned to business value

  • Productise "golden paths" for developer environments (templates, pipelines, IaC)

  • Improve developer productivity and reduce onboarding lead time

  • Embed SRE practices (SLOs, reliability, observability, incident reviews)

  • Ensure strong security, governance, and cost transparency (FinOps)

  • Drive measurable outcomes (lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR, change fail rate)

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Capability Owners, and Platform leadership

What You'll Bring

  • Proven senior product ownership experience in platform or infrastructure domains

  • Deep Kubernetes expertise (multi-cluster, multi-tenant, networking, storage, workload identity)

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native tooling (GitOps, Helm, policy-as-code, CI/CD pipelines)

  • Experience building developer platforms and self-service capabilities

  • Solid SRE knowledge (SLOs, error budgets, reliability engineering)

  • Strong stakeholder management and roadmap delivery capability

  • Data-driven mindset with excellent communication skills
