Technical Operations Director (Closed)

We are currently seeking a Technical Operations Director who will be responsible in providing technical support to our Contract Manufacturers to ensure process controls are in place to deliver the agreed quality standards of our products. The Director will coordinate the Operations at the Contract Manufacturers to ensure production plans are met to support business needs. The successful candidate will be a hands-on self-starter with the ability to collaborate and work closely with various support teams to ensure company standards are implemented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads Process control activities in the extruder operations to ensure quality of product(s).
• Provides technical support to Contract Manufacturers personnel who are in charge for the manufacturing of products to ensure process control to deliver all Quality specifications and standards are meet.
• Ensures Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Business Unit Support personnel comply with safety and GMP and on-the-job training of department personnel.
• Drafts new procedures and/or changes to SOP's to drive efficiency and ensure quality standards
• Coordinate with contract manufacturer the planning and scheduling of the operation to ensure capacity availability to meet demand and maximize utilization of extruders.   May require travel within the Americas as business needs require.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar degree.
• Prior food beverage manufacturing leadership experience with a working knowledge of cGMP
• Minimum eight (8) years of previous experience in Process Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing or similar roles in the Food Industry specifically in High Moisture Extrusion (HME) products.
• Strong leadership skills, Capable of leading and managing complex food manufacturing and technical staff.
• Experience with Lean methodologies and process improvement ideal.
