We have partnered with our client in their search for a Technical Business Analyst to support regulatory and payments delivery within the financial services sector.

The Role

We are looking for someone with hands‑on PSD2 delivery experience and exposure to PSD3 regulatory change, who can take ownership of detailed requirements across Open Banking APIs, TPP integrations, consent management, SCA flows, and fraud controls.

This is a delivery‑focused role, working closely with engineering, architecture, product, compliance, and risk teams to produce clear, build‑ready functional and API‑level specifications.

The role would suit a Technical BA who has supported EU payments regulation change end‑to‑end and is comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gathering requirements from Compliance and Product stakeholders
• Translating regulatory requirements into technical and functional specifications
• Working closely with developers and architects during design and build
• Supporting UAT and regulatory delivery activities

Skills & Experience Required

Must‑Have Experience

• Proven Open Banking delivery experience
• Hands‑on exposure to:
  • AIS / PIS
  • TPP integrations
• PSD2 hands‑on delivery experience
• PSD3 exposure (strong advantage)

Strong Understanding of:

• REST APIs
• Consent and authorisation models
• Customer authentication flows (SCA)

Comfortable Producing:

• Functional specifications
• API‑level requirements
• Data mappings

Knowledge Areas (Working Level)

• Strong Customer Authentication (SCA):
  • Exemptions and step‑up flows
• Payments and fraud journeys
• API security concepts (OAuth, tokens - conceptual level)
• Digital banking journeys (mobile / online)
