Technical Accountant (Closed)

Our firm has been selected to conduct a search for a Technical Accountant on behalf of a publicly traded manufacturing company located in Houston. Ideal candidate will come from Big 4 with some industry experience, be technically strong, diligent with high initiative. Compensation: up to 115K
This position will entertain a competitive range of compensation including base salary and competitive benefits.

Experience Requirements:

• BS/BA Degree in Finance or Accounting with CPA.
• Big four public industry combo experience.
• 5-8 years general accounting experience.
• Must be proficient in technical accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, contingencies and technical research.
• Experience in implementing the new lease accounting standard.
• Highly polished in presentation skills.
• Ideal candidate will possess job stability with a solid track record of success as demonstrated by progressively more responsible positions in their career.

Some responsibilities include…

• Technical accounting & research, revenue recognition, lease accounting.
• Month-end close activities.
• Responsible for some of the more complicated reconciliations.
• Will be the right hand to the Accounting Manager.
• Work on special projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
