Our client, a publicly-held oil field service company located in Southeast Houston, is adding a Tax Manager to their team. They offer good benefits, CPA reimbursement, and upward mobility within the company.
Some responsibilities include:
- Manage the tax compliance team
- Prepare year-end and quarterly GAAP tax provisions
- Ensure all international, federal, state and local tax laws and regulations are adhered to
- Minimize tax liability through informed application of tax regulations and laws
- Manage outside advisors in the preparation of international tax provisions
Experience requirements:
- Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years combined experience in Big 4 with SEC clients or industry experience in Financial Reporting/SEC
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role
- Proficient knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Proficient in tax compliance software
- CPA, preferred
- Experience with international taxes is a plus
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Oracle and other database experience is a plus.
