Title: Tax Analyst

Location: West Houston

Responsibilities:

This full time, permanent position will assist advisors to provide financial planning services to clients by undertaking the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze client tax estimates (federal, state, trust) using tax planning software.
  • Provide tax recommendations and tax strategies for clients to advisors.
  • Prepare estimated state and federal tax payment vouchers for individuals and trusts.
  • Develop client rebalance schedules and asset allocations using Excel.
  • Populate and analyze outputs from financial planning software.
  • Prepare client billing invoices.
  • Gather data for quarterly investment committee meetings.
  • Other analytical tasks on as needed basis.
  • Administrative tasks:  transfer of assets, opening client accounts, etc. on as needed basis.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 or more years experience
  • BBA in Accounting or Finance is required; Masters in Accounting or Taxation is a plus
  • CPA or parts passed is a plus
  • A background in public accounting is preferred
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience preparing federal, state, and trust tax returns
  • Experience with tax planning software is a plus
  • Very high attention to detail and necessary analytical skills is required
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must
