Tax Accountant
Location: Houston, TX
We are currently partnering with an industry-leading organization on a search for a Tax Accountant to support this firm's goal of substantial growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review year-end tax provision computations
- Assist with review and/or preparation of US federal and state corporate tax returns
- Prepare and/or review US federal and state quarterly and year-end tax estimates
- Assist with federal and state audits
- Support US and other specific special tax planning and non-recurring projects as needed
- Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and complying with regulatory requirements
- Reconcile tax payable accounts
- Analyze all tax accounting reports for accuracy and compliance
- Research tax treatment in new and current jurisdictions
- Assist locations with tax transactions
- Reconcile discrepancies in tax data
- Respond to SOX and internal audit requests as needed
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
- 6 plus years public/industry tax accounting experience
- CPA
