The position is directly responsible and dedicated to the overall project execution to include monitoring project, project specific schedules, work assignments, scopes and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Working knowledge of 3D structural modeling software (SDS2/Tekla Required)
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills (Team Player)
  • Excellent Technical Skills
  • Must have customer-oriented approach to business situations
  • High School Degree
  • Experience as a Detailer (Drawings Checker) and Project Manager preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary interface with customer during the engineering phase of the project
  • Provide Initial Contract review, detailing or job set-up for outside detailing groups and project coordination
  • Develop project schedule and forecast for plant master schedule
  • Maintain oversight of buyout products as required
  • Resolve issues or involve appropriate departments for resolution
  • Review contract additions and deletions; Provide or coordinate scope changes to detailing groups and sales
  • Develop or manage requests for information
  • Check project status upon receipt of changes and evaluate impact
  • Monitor job schedules and provide forecasting input
  • Responsible for coordinating surveillance inspections with customers
  • Coordinate necessary drawings and model requirements with customer
  • Pre-emptive jobsite visits
  • Attend project kick-off meetings as required
