Job Description

Lucas Group has partnered with a privately held oil & gas company to search for a  Staff or Senior Accountant. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, young company, driven by people who strive for growth. The role will focus on a/p, a/r, bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting, while also supporting the Controller with the budgeting & forecasting and financial reporting functions. The position also offers unlimited career growth as the company continues to grow.
 
Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of full-cycle accounting, be a CPA or actively pursuing and fully bilingual in English & Spanish. Internal or external audit experience is also highly preferred. 

Job Requirements

  • Record daily revenue sale transactions and manage accounts receivable
  • Record weekly invoices suppliers and manage accounts payable
  • Primary point of contact with operations for proper recording of transactions
  • Recording daily cash transactions and bank reconciliations
  • Conduct month-end close procedures including preparing journal entries
  • Support company audits
  • Develop, standardize and document business processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyses to support the accuracy of the general ledger and related sub-ledgers
  • Support Director of Accounting with FP&A, budgeting and cash management.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to fluently communicate in both English and Spanish
  • Oil & Gas or Midstream experience preferred
  • 3 plus years of accounting experience
  • Must be able to easily adapt to change in work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
