Major Initiatives
The Global Procurement Senior Manager, IT will be tasked with two major transformational responsibilities covering > $100 MM spend:
- To develop and advance the Global IT applications category management structure
- Work with key global leads to support application rationalization projects
- Review existing support contracts and develop continuous improvement plans to drive further value
- Partner with VMO team to ensure relationships are structured, managed and transparent
- To develop and implement a formalized ITAM process
- In partnership with the VMO group, support the selection and implementation of a global SAM tool
- Engage key stakeholders and vendors to develop and/or consolidate into global agreements
- Build a proactive renewal process focused on cost reduction and value delivery
- Investigate 3rd party support opportunities
- Assess VAR landscape to drive further value
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These major initiatives will support sourcing and procurement strategies / programs to meet companywide cost saving objectives. This role is responsible for the entire end to end ABG strategic sourcing process, which includes:
- Research industry best practices and develop sourcing plans
- Lead interactions with legal
- Supplier performance management /reviews
- Partner with IT organization at all levels, including CIO
Supervisory and Organizational Responsibilities
No direct reports at this time. This is a key individual contributor role having a lot of independence and responsibility
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a corporate procurement, supply chain or IT environment developing and executing relevant sourcing strategies
- Need expertise and best-in-class thinking in some areas of IT
- 3-5 years’ experience in an IT – related capacity
- Experience negotiating with large enterprise IT vendors
- Need experience working with executive stakeholders in IT
- Demonstrated examples of driving change and process improvement with measurable results
