We have partnered with our client in their search for a Director, Digital Assets Audit to join their Internal Audit team. This role will be based in New York or Pittsburgh and will play a critical role in providing independent assurance over the firm's digital asset and tokenization initiatives.
Define and execute the audit strategy for digital asset and tokenization programs in alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards, delivering clear, actionable insights to senior management and the Audit Committee.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audit professionals, executing risk-based audits focused on control design and operating effectiveness across wallet security, blockchain infrastructure, system access, and change management.
Provide independent assurance over third-party and critical vendors supporting digital asset platforms, including assessments of governance, controls, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with regulatory and supervisory bodies by coordinating audit responses and supporting examinations related to digital asset activities.
Drive timely remediation of audit findings and elevate thematic risks to executive leadership, translating complex issues into practical, business-focused solutions.
Leverage data analytics and technology-enabled audit techniques to enhance audit coverage across cloud environments, information security, and blockchain-adjacent technologies.
Extensive internal audit experience within financial services, with a strong command of Global Internal Audit Standards and global regulatory expectations.
Demonstrated expertise auditing digital asset environments, including crypto custody, blockchain and wallet infrastructure, key management, change management, and data integrity.
Experience evaluating third-party and critical vendors, including digital asset service providers and KYT/KYVASP frameworks; ability to assess governance models and contractual risk mitigants.
Strong technology and data literacy, with experience applying analytics and testing controls across cloud platforms, access and entitlement management, and information security domains.
Proven leadership within the third line of defense, with the ability to build high-performing teams and influence senior stakeholders through clear, evidence-based communication.
