We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Desktop Engineer/Executive Support. The Senior Desktop Engineer will be the face of IT to executive leadership—owning everything from conference room reliability and VIP incident response to Intune policy design and endpoint security hardening. If you thrive on high stakes problem solving, communicate with executive polish, and can manage the full lifecycle of Windows endpoints in a regulated setting, this role offers the autonomy and visibility to make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver white glove, in person support to C-Suite and senior leaders, ensuring flawless operation of laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and conference room technology.

  • Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex endpoint issues in a Windows 10/11 & Microsoft 365 environment, driving rapid root cause resolution.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Intune (AutoPilot, Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint) policies for imaging, patching, compliance, and zero touch provisioning.

  • Administer Microsoft Teams Rooms, A/V hardware (Logitech, Crestron, Poly, etc.), and other collaboration systems—owning reliability for executive meetings and global town halls.

  • Harden endpoints to meet stringent cybersecurity, GxP/cGMP, and data privacy requirements; collaborate with InfoSec on vulnerability remediation and audits.

  • Lead small infrastructure projects (hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, new tool roll outs) from planning through post implementation support.

  • Create and maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and metrics in ServiceNow to drive continuous improvement and self service adoption.

  • Mentor junior technicians and participate in an on call rotation to provide after hours executive coverage as needed.

Skills Required

  • Executive presence & communication—proven success supporting board level stakeholders in fast paced, regulated enterprises.

  • Intune & endpoint management—deep expertise with Intune, AutoPilot, AAD, Defender, and PowerShell automation.

  • A/V & Teams Rooms—hands on configuration and troubleshooting of enterprise A/V ecosystems and Microsoft Teams meetings.

  • Windows & Dell hardware—expert knowledge of Windows 10/11, Dell Latitude/Precision/OptiPlex, and peripheral support.

  • Endpoint security—EDR, encryption, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance (GxP, SOX, HIPAA).

  • ITSM tools—ServiceNow (or similar) ticketing, CMDB, and reporting experience.

  • Networking fundamentals—solid grasp of DNS, DHCP, VPN, wired/wireless connectivity.

Education & Work Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience/certifications (e.g., MS 900, MD 102).

  • Work Experience: 5+ years progressive desktop engineering/endpoint management, including 2+ years direct executive level support within a regulated industry.
