Our rapidly expanding healthcare client is in need of a Senior Data Platform Engineer. The Senior Data Platform Engineer position is primarily responsible for building and administrating a highly scalable and secure data/analytics platform capable of generating accurate insights into patient care through data science and analytics. Job Requirements

• Deliver product and technology enhancements through software development, quality assurance and support
• Help identify and address (crush) technical debt
• Develop and support EMR integrations
• Take accountability for the areas of database administration, development and architecture
• Work closely with the systems engineering team to ensure proper disaster recovery
• On-call rotations
• Provide SQL support to assist other teams with manual data extracts and data understanding
• Provide design and code peer reviews for T-SQL and schemas developed by other delivery team members
• Responsible for improving the database development and ETL experience of our client's application
• Play a major role in the development and maintenance of SSIS packages
• Data wrangling, building models, and deriving insights from Healthcare data using R and Python.
• Mentor, challenge, and grow your peers 

Desired Skills and Knowledge

• Strong SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
• Strong T-SQL experience
• Query tuning and ability to read query plans in SQL Server
• Software development processes and agile methodologies
• Git
• Data modeling and architecture (data lakes)
• ETL and integrations design patterns
• Data visualization (Oracle Analytics Cloud)
• Containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• Red Gate tools experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience using Team City and Octopus Deploy
• AWS database services experience such as RDS and Redshift
• Postgres experience
• Biml experience
• Big data technologies such as Elastic Mapreduce, Spark, Pentaho, Talend
