Our client, an energy company located in Houston, is looking to add a Senior Accountant – Operations to their team.
Compensation: $95k
This position will entertain a competitive range of compensation including base salary, discretionary bonus, + excellent benefits.

Some responsibilities include…
- Reviewing AFE spend for anomalies, comparing to daily reports, and working with Operations to determine if reclasses are necessary
- Full ownership of accounting processes for related-party drilling company; including managing relationship with drilling services provider, recording all operational accounting, intercompany, and cash entries, and supporting financial reporting
- Assisting JIB Supervisor by preparing cash application entries for recurring transactions and ad hoc scrap sales
- Reviewing bank reports, reconciling statements, recording manual cash entries for operational accounting transactions, and working with Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant to prepare formal bank reconciliations
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of directly related relevant work experience required
- Upstream accounting experience strongly preferred, with offshore a plus
- Active CPA license and recent public accounting experience preferred
