Major functions and purpose of position:

 

Supports the oversight of the day to day operations of the site including accounting, employee relations, purchasing, and inventories in addition to all of the maintenance employees, constantly strives to improve the efficiency and reliability of the operation, coordinates all formal interfaces with customers with support of the Regional Operations Director and ensures consistent leadership and direction.

 

Scope of responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the performance/execution of all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure financial profitability of the project.
  • Responsible for the timely scheduling and completion of all PM and CM.
  • Verify that work is being done as per the required guidelines, safely within the given deadline.
  • Generate timely and accurate reports utilizing the CMMS system.
  • Responsible for providing budgets and financial reports and meet monthly performance requirements.
  • Responsible for the overall purchases required to keep the operation running smoothly while staying within budget.
  • Oversees all operational functions and insures compliance with JBT performance requirements, contractual agreements, JBT policies and procedures, OSHA, Labor Standards, and any other requirements necessary within the operational scope.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of technical and safety training programs for the site.
  • Identify and resolve operational concerns and coordinate efforts to resolve open issues in a timely manner. 
  • Responsible for safety standards and programs and ensure proper standards are established, followed and measured.
  • Periodic evaluation of staff efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction and develop ways to improve the overall operation.
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Meet regularly with the customer to assure a high degree of customer satisfaction.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications

  • Five years' managerial experience in the area of maintenance operations and maintenance management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related; will consider equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Passenger Boarding Bridge Maintenance preferred.
  • Background in operations, administration, finance and HR.
  • Strong leadership ability, team building experience and people skills.
  • Ensures good employee relations and interacts with HR.
  • Strong advocate for safety, health and environmental issues.
  • Ability to communicate well in English both verbally and written.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to introduce and implement new processes.
  • Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
