Position Overview

We are seeking a Service Desk Consultant to serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for a professional office environment in Overland Park. This individual will provide hands-on technical support, assist employees with day-to-day technology needs, and ensure a positive end-user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with users, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is dependable in an onsite support capacity. The successful candidate will balance technical troubleshooting skills with professionalism, communication, and a strong commitment to supporting employees at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level IT support for desktop, laptop, mobile device, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for employee technology support needs.
  • Support new hire onboarding and employee offboarding activities, including equipment deployment, setup, inventory management, and collection.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating system, account access, and application-related issues.
  • Assist with conference room technology, meeting setup, and audiovisual support.
  • Document, track, and manage incidents and service requests within ServiceNow or a similar ticketing platform.
  • Coordinate with escalation teams to resolve more complex technical issues.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure equipment is configured and deployed according to standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting employees and leadership staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of Service Desk, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or related IT support experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user account administration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or another ticketing system.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience in a professional office environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Exposure to conference room technology and meeting support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • IT-related degree, certification, internship, or equivalent hands-on experience.
