Senior UX Researcher

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior UX Researcher in the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities: 
  Creatively solve problems and define research strategy: 
  o   Be a team player in all you do!
o   Develop research strategy in partnership with design and product leadership.
o   Proactively plan and organize recruitment in partnership with our ResearchOps team.
o   Apply the right research method to the appropriate goals, and project scope.
o   Coach designers in research as needed.  

·       Lead & conduct research:
o   Guide evidence-based research strategy, representing UX Research on cross-functional working groups; collaborate closely with UX Design towards “symphony” moments.
o   Lead user-centered research, inspiring the team to consistently deliver product improvements and innovations based on impactful research.
o   Set engaged pace for iterating research every sprint cycle.
o   Proactively use data to speak to assumptions and risks.  

·       Focus on the customer:
o   Gather, evaluate, and develop a solid understanding of customer use cases and needs, focused on search enhancement at the point of care.
o   Understand competitors, market segment needs in greater detail with the help of partner teams.
o   Collaborate with product and design to inform product strategy grounded in user needs. 
Skills Required:  

• You know a variety of research methods and can differentiate when to use which method.
• You can lead large scale complex research, in linguistically diverse contexts.
• You have a proven track record of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing business strategy
• Possess a portfolio of polished case studies illustrating their concrete impact across.
• Adept at delivering research quickly with just enough analysis to gain directional insights
• A love for talking to users and learning about what they do and how they work.
• Innate ability to understand complex systems and problems and ability to see the big picture.  You think strategically but can practically apply it without getting lost.
• You listen well, and in all your brilliance still nurture the posture of a learner.  

• 5+ years of experience in UX research
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
•  portfolio is required for all applicants.
