Senior UX Designer - Healthcare
Type: 6-month contract (with potential extension)
Start Date: February 2026 (approx.)

Location: Remote (UK - London preferred; US candidates also considered)
Travel: 1 visit to London office per month
Lead early-stage discovery and innovation projects focused on next-generation, AI-enabled digital experiences
Balance speed and rigor by making informed, data-driven design decisions in ambiguous problem spaces
Work within a large, global Innovation Design practice delivering high-impact solutions in health and education
Lead discovery initiatives to uncover user needs, market opportunities, and business constraints
Define and apply Innovation Design methodologies (Design Thinking, Lean, etc.), including AI-augmented research and prototyping
Partner with UX Researchers to design and execute mixed-method testing and validation plans
Synthesize user, customer, and business insights into actionable design strategies
Facilitate cross-functional workshops exploring Generative AI-enabled value propositions
Present findings, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders
Advocate for user-centred design and responsible, ethical use of AI
Mentor team members in innovation practices and emerging GenAI-powered workflows
Strategic & Creative Contribution
Shape strategic direction for customer-facing products with an emphasis on AI-driven differentiation
Challenge conventional thinking and promote experimentation in a structured, outcome-focused way
Engage stakeholders through clear storytelling and strong design rationale
5+ years' experience in UX Design, Innovation Design, or similar roles
Proven ability to lead cross-functional, time-bound innovation projects
Strong portfolio with relevant case studies demonstrating discovery-to-validation workflows
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure
Exposure to Generative AI in research, design, or prototyping workflows (preferred)
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
Familiarity with Agile and user-centred design processes
Technical & AI Skills (Preferred)
Understanding of Generative AI concepts and implications for UX
Experience using general AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Notebook-style tools)
Familiarity with emerging AI-assisted design tools is a plus
