Senior UI/UX Designer
Permanent Role | Hybrid | Dublin
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join a growing digital team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and strategic design professional to shape intuitive, scalable digital products that balance user needs with business objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, end users, and development teams to design and deliver engaging digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will play a key role in the full product lifecycle - from discovery and research through to prototyping, testing, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and requirements-gathering workshops to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Translate complex business and user requirements into clear user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business teams to define and deliver innovative digital solutions
- Drive product vision through user research, ideation, usability testing, and iterative design
- Design responsive, mobile-first experiences optimised across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Identify usability challenges within existing and new products and recommend evidence-based improvements
- Continuously enhance usability, accessibility, and overall customer experience across digital platforms
- Use analytics, customer insights, and testing outcomes to support design decisions and measure success
- Ensure all designs align with accessibility standards (WCAG), usability principles, and brand guidelines
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation and maintain design quality
- Contribute to the development and evolution of design systems, reusable components, and UX best practices
- Present and communicate design concepts and rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure compliance with relevant governance, risk, and regulatory requirements
AI & Innovation
- Leverage AI tools to support and accelerate design workflows, including research, ideation, and prototyping
- Explore opportunities to enhance digital experiences through thoughtful use of AI technologies
- Apply a balanced approach to innovation, ensuring quality, usability, trust, and risk considerations are maintained
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years' experience in UI/UX Design, Product Design, or a similar role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, problem solving, and delivery capability
- Degree in Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of User-Centred Design (UCD) principles and methodologies
- Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, and rapid prototyping
- Experience designing responsive and mobile-first digital products
- Previous experience working within Agile, cross-functional product environments
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate complex information into intuitive user experiences
- Ability to influence product direction and contribute to broader design strategy
Tools & Technical Skills
- Advanced experience with modern design tools such as Figma and FigJam
- Strong capability in creating both low- and high-fidelity prototypes
- Experience working with design systems and component-based design approaches
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript would be beneficial
Desirable Experience
- Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
- Experience designing enterprise-scale or complex digital products
- Motion design, interaction design, or advanced prototyping experience
- Exposure to front-end development concepts and technologies
