Job Title: Senior Varicent ICM Technical Consultant

Location: Remote in the United States


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Varicent ICM Technical Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for configuring and maintaining the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) system, ensuring accurate and efficient compensation processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of data models and calculations within Varicent, and the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain compensation plans, rules, and workflows within the Varicent ICM platform.
  • Analyze and understand the data models and calculations that feed into Varicent to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business and technical requirements.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring end-to-end understanding of data flows into Varicent.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and data mappings.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ICM system.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience configuring and supporting the Varicent ICM platform.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of data structures, compensation models, and calculation logic.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of the data piece—no “someone else handled that” mindset.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and experience documenting both technical and business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
