The Senior Systems Administrator role is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operations of computer systems including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, appliances, and client endpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and monitor software and hardware solutions.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of computer systems.
  • Resolve client and server systems issues to limit work disruptions.
  • Assist with asset management, including maintenance of hardware and software inventory.
  • Contribute to the remediation of vulnerability scan findings.
  • User identity administration of both on-premises Active Directory (AD DS) and Microsoft Entra ID (formally Azure Active Directory).
  • Group policy management and periodic review, performing approved adjustments as required.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and business units to deploy solutions capable of supporting business goals.
  • Implement and monitor data backup and recovery solutions.
  • Responsible for submitting change control request documentation and confirming approval prior to any modifications.
  • As a technical lead, support project teams with your expertise on projects.
  • Participate in systems team on-call rotation including after hours and weekend emergency coverage.
Requirements:
These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job.  Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:
  • An associate degree in a Technology related discipline or 7+ years of equivalent experience required.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate or legacy Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or similar preferred but not required. The ability to obtain one or more of these certifications within the first full year of being hired is expected.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and related services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and related services
  • Experience with M365 applications. (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive)
  • Solid understanding of PowerShell, batch programming/shell scripting concepts for task automation, software deployment and reporting.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux-based operating systems is required.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS).
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws (GLBA, SOX, etc.)
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required before escalating.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere maintenance and configuration required.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Deep analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online.
  • Technology-related state and federal banking compliance regulations knowledge preferred.
  • Bank operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and non-technical verbiage depending on the audience.
  • Strong knowledge of MECM/SCCM, 3rd party patching, and vulnerability remediation techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyze, and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with enterprise-level storage systems (SANs) and their communication protocols (FC, iSCSI)
  • Experience with public key infrastructure, certificate management and deployment.
  • Ability to set up SaaS applications with features such as single sign-on, access rules and multi-factor authentication.
