We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Accountant. 

Responsibilities

  • Timely and Accurate Reporting: Emphasize a focus on delivering timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Financial Reporting: Compile and present financial reports to lenders and shareholders during month-end close.

  • Balance Sheet Maintenance: Manage all balance sheet reconciliations and the fixed asset ledger.

  • Accuracy Assurance: Ensure the precision of accounting records and adherence to established policies.

  • Compliance Oversight: Handle compliance reporting, including debt covenant reporting, and collaborate with an external CPA firm on tax reporting.

  • Audit Support: Provide support for year-end audit activities.

  • Capex Reporting: Track and report on capital expenditures, including Return on Investments (ROIs).

  • Risk Management: Contribute to risk management and insurance programs to minimize potential risks and losses.

  • Budget Planning: Plan and prepare department budgets.

  • Treasury Backup: Offer backup support for treasury functions.

  • Technology Integration: Leverage accounting technology systems, ensuring they are up-to-date, and consistently assess opportunities for technology enhancements in accounting/finance, including integration with other organizational functions.

  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Participate in mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration processes.

  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, or finance.

  • GAAP Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Adaptability: Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and effectively utilizing additional computer applications as necessary.

  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.

  • Results-Driven: Show dedication to driving and achieving results.

  • Excel Proficiency: Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, coupled with experience in other financial systems.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, accounitn, finance, or a related field. Big4 audit and private equity-backed experience is a plus.
