Senior Project Manager

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Project Manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Work within the PMO supporting efforts for the IT PMO and the newly formed Operations PMO
  • Lead multiple complex projects; oversee and manage the planning, implementation, communication, tracking and reporting. Work with business leadership to define scope. Advise and assist senior staff and/or other clients in the formulation of project budget, project fiscal management
  • Responsible for the full range of the project management lifecycle: discovery initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing
  • Lead the design and development of project plans and interact regularly with project sponsors, stakeholders, project teams and others in completion of the work and communicating status
  • Review progress of projects and recommend and support improvement strategies where needed
  • Provide expertise and consulting to project managers and other units in project management methodology

Skills Required

  • Deep domain expertise in the core project execution methodologies; project management, program management, risk and issue management, scope management,
    schedule management, cost management, change management, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS project, JIRA, SharePoint, PPM, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO methodologies and processes, while identifying processes and methodologies that need to evolve. Assist with
    the process improvement efforts by working collaboratively with the Process Improvement team to make changes
  • Work with Project managers and Portfolio Managers to manage and support delivery excellence
  • Thorough knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of IT project management principles (e.g., Agile) and software
  • Well-developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proven ability to manage multiple/complex projects, meeting deadlines and budget
  • Provide training / support on tools & templates including reports, SharePoint, Delivery tracker, PPM, etc.
  • Ability to produce Executive level reporting and metrics for Senior Leadership.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 7 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
