Our client, an established Construction Services company has engaged Lucas Group to identify a Senior Project Accountant. This position will work closely with the field to ensure that financials are produced timely and accurately. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Assisting in month-end close activities (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
- Preparing reports and financial statements; management presentations
- Consolidating and reviews budgets/projections
- Identifying and understanding key business drivers
- Process Improvements – recommending and participating in initiatives
- Leads audit process and reviews work papers
- Maintains ongoing contact with the field and operations personnel
- Assists in training and development of team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required
- Master’s degree and/or CPA candidate preferred
- Three to five years accounting experience required
- Construction and/or project accounting experience preferred
- Efficient with Microsoft Office including strong excel skills
- Interpersonal skills including good communicator and ability to work within a group or direct group projects
- High ethical standard and ability to maintain confidentiality
