Our client is a publicly traded distribution company located in northwest Houston. We are helping them add a Senior Project Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience performing percentage of completion accounting in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Senior Project Accountant responsibilities include:
- Report to operations on project profitability
- Monitor, maintain, and analyze project costs
- Analyze and understand the accounting of contracts under percentage of completion revenue recognition accounting
- Prepare percentage of completion schedules for review with management
- Review contracts and ensure revenue is recognized properly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Senior Project Accountant include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of project accounting utilizing percentage of completion accounting
