We have partnered with our esteemed client in the insurance industry in their search for an experienced Senior Operational Risk Manager to support their Chief Risk Officer in delivering a robust and effective Risk Management function. This senior role will focus on operational risk, governance and regulatory capital, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Solvency II standard formula calculations, ensuring accurate SCR reporting and regulatory compliance.
Partner with actuarial and finance teams to validate assumptions and optimise risk capital.
Lead the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework, including enterprise-wide risk assessments, control testing, incident monitoring and risk mitigation.
Maintain the Project Risk Management Framework to support major transformation initiatives.
Challenge and monitor first-line controls, operational incidents and remediation actions.
Review outsourced service provider assurance reports (ISAE 3402) and ensure effective compensating controls.
Support the annual Risk Appetite and Risk Strategy review and contribute to the Risk Function Plan.
Deliver risk management training across the business and act as a key point of contact for Operations, Compliance, Internal Audit and external auditors.
Lead the delivery of the ORSA, including scenario analysis, capital assessment and Board-level reporting.
About You
Qualified or experienced in Actuarial Science, Risk Management or Internal Audit (preferred).
Strong knowledge of operational risk, governance and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
A collaborative leader with strong analytical, organisational and relationship-building skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
