Lucas Group is exclusively engaged on a search for a Senior Network Engineer in Cincinnati to join a thriving organization. As a member of this team, you will lead projects and direct resources designing, building, and maintaining a Hybrid Network Infrastructure. The team provides IT Services to manufacturing businesses operating across the United States.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and implement project plans to maintain and deploy network services:
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and secure cloud infrastructure
- Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Mentor team members and provide support troubleshooting technical issues
- Maintain technical documentation
- Implement company security standards and maintain security focus
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Disaster Recovery and Incident Response procedures
- Disaster Recovery design, planning, and testing.
- Investigate security incidents (breaches) and lead incident response.
- Identify gaps in security infrastructure and solutions and develop remediation plans
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, LDAP, etc.)
- Experience designing and maintaining a Hybrid Network Infrastructure
- Experience with the following
- Amazon Web Services and Microsoft 365 Cloud platforms
- Active Directory, Windows Server 2012/2019 and older variants
- Virtualization Systems (VMWare, Veeam)
- Redhat/CentOS or other Linux variant
- Strong scripting skills (Powershell & Python)
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
- Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience combination
- Strong problem solving capabilities, ability to think outside the box
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to quickly acquire and master new and complex skills
